May Discovery Day: Historical Laundry

Join us at the Osgoode Township Museum this May 24th to learn about historical laundry and hygiene - Watch a historic laundry demonstration and make and take home your very own 18th century style soap washball. If you feel like it, bring your own dish towel and see how it would have been washed 100 years ago (results not guaranteed).

Drop-ins welcome, though pre-registration is encouraged to guarantee materials. 5$ per participant.

Event Time: 10am to 4pm

Details:

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the activity
  • The cost is $5 per participant. 
  • There are no refunds for no shows or cancellations. Refunds will only be issued if the event is cancelled by the museum.
  • Some activities are self guided throughout the museum and property, and may have both indoor and outdoor portions (weather permitting)
  • Activities are available from 10:00am to 4:00pm
