Laundry and Historical Getting Dressed | July Discovery Day
le 4 juillet 2026 de 10h00 à 16h00 EDT
7814 Lawrence St, Vernon, ON
Curious about all the layers in a Victorian working woman's outfit? How they did laundry before electricity? Come visit the museum on July 4th for our newest Discovery Day. Watch a guided getting dressed demonstration, showing the base most to the outermost layers of a typical working woman's outfit from the 1850s. Then, get up close with laundry technology that would have kept your clothes clean, especially on a hard working farm. This is a free event.
