Broom Making Workshop with Sweeping Willows
We are excited to welcome Rachael Martin of Sweeping Willows for a broom making workshop at the museum. Participants will learn about harvesting broom corn and have the opportunity to get hands on and harvest a sample of broom corn from the museum's heritage garden (seasonally dependent). Afterwards, Rachael will guide participants through two projects that can be used around the house - a pot scrubber and a whisk. Making natural brooms offers an alternative to plastic, provides a creative outlet and presents an opportunity to try a new skill. This workshop is capped at 8 participants.
