The Osgoode Stocking KAL (Session IV)

Have you ever wanted to knit a piece of local history? Now you can, with The Osgoode Stocking - a pattern lovingly designed for the Osgoode Township Museum by Sydney Roseweck, headmistress of Squid's School of Vintage Knitting.

Sydney created this pattern by examining a pair of original stockings from 1907 in the museum's collection, and we are inviting you to come knit a pair. Each session will open with a short talk on a knitting history topic, the rest of the session is open for knitting and socializing.

If you're in the area, why not check out the Eastern Ontario Stitcher's Stitch Day at the Joel Steele Community Centre in Winchester (9am to 4pm) before the KAL.

Sessions run from 1pm to 3pm on the below dates and operate on a drop-in basis, in-person at the museum. The knit-a-long is a free program with The Osgoode Stocking pattern available for sale exclusively through the museum.
