Museum Talks: Grave Matters - Restoring My Family's Home Cemetery

Join us on October 15th for a free virtual Museum Talk with Alisha Giroux. Alisha is a full time freelance artist with a fierce love of nature and local history. In late 2021, Alisha temporarily moved to her family's farm, one that's been in the family for over two centuries. Amongst the fields, cows, and old toppled barns of the property is a small cemetery on a hill, hidden by overgrowth but not forgotten. During lockdown Alisha took it upon herself to clear the weeds, uncover lost markers, and learn the delicate art of cleaning and restoring old headstones.
