Our Collection

The Osgoode Township Museum houses a collection of approximately 10,000 objects, ranging from housewares and clothing to full sized tractors and other farming equipment.

The Osgoode Township Museum was founded on November 23, 1972 with the goals of doing research, preserving, publishing and promoting the history of Osgoode Township and the genealogy of its residents.

The Agricultural Museum building was subsequently built and officially opened on August 12, 1989. It now provides a home for the vast farming and industrial collection held by the Museum. The Museum continues to collect information and artifacts relating to life in Osgoode Township and make them available to the public.

Online Collection

The Museum's collection was available online via the Ottawa Museums and Archives Collection portal.  This was a combined online resource of the City of Ottawa Archives and eight City of Ottawa and Community Museums. The City of Ottawa terminated this resource as of 31 December 2025.

The Museum is currently working to restore online access to the collection with an expected launch in late winter 2026.

If you are looking for a particular object or have questions about the collection, please contact Sarah Verreault, Collections Officer for assistance.
