July Discovery Day: Dairy

Discover Dairy at the Osgoode Township Moo-seum's Dairy Discovery Day! Join us July 26th to learn all about the history of dairy in the Osgoode Township!
:icecream: Watch a historical ice cream demonstration (that you get to eat, too!)
:butter: Churn your own butter, and enjoy it on bread from our friends at Watsons Mill in Manotick
:cow: Learn about the unique strategies that dairy farmers have had to employ in Eastern Ontario!
:artist: Colour a brand new colouring page!

$5 registration is open on our website to reserve your materials in advance, otherwise you can drop in at the museum between 10am and 4pm!
Historical dairy presentations at 11:00am and 2:00pm!

Event Date: July 26th, 2025
Event Location: Osgoode Township Museum, 7814 Lawrence St, Vernon, ON. K0A 3J0
Event Time: 10am to 4pm. 

Details:

  • Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the activity
  • The cost is $5 per participant. 
  • There are no refunds for no shows or cancellations. Refunds will only be issued if the event is cancelled by the museum.
  • Some activities are self guided throughout the museum and property, and may have both indoor and outdoor portions (weather permitting)
  • Activities are available from 10:00am to 4:00pm
